Abstract

Will dated 2 Sept. 1778, witnessed by Richard Avery, Betsey Lord, and Polly Lord. This copy compiled by Solomon Perkins. David Avery leaves stock, rooms in house, and money to wife Lydia with provision for possible children; all undisposed property to his brother James; money to brothers Peter and John and to sisters Elizabeth Starr, Prudence Avery, and Hannah Avery; and other bequests to nephews Rufus Avery, David Avery, and Aaron Avery, and to niece Hannah Lord.
